The University of WaikatoWaikato Tainui, the Waikato Wellbeing Project and Te Pūkenga welcome you to join them as they come together to commence the 4th Aotearoa New Zealand Sustainable Development Goals Summit Series for 2022 - 2023.

The theme for the 4th SDG Summit is: Māori, Indigenous and flax root community perspectives.

The series will commence with three webinars. The purpose of these webinars are to explore dimensions of the Sustainable Development Goals framework by sharing best practice examples from the Waikato, Bay of Plenty and across Aotearoa, contributing to a growing collective understanding of how sustainable development looks in Aotearoa and in a Te Tiriti partnership context.

Each of the three webinars will explore a different element of sustainable development, recognising that all elments are interconnected. Each webinar will encourage both presenters and participants to reflect and present on how their insights contribute to an indigenous understanding and application of sustainable development in Aotearoa in 2022 and beyond.

The first webinar is entitled 'Sustaining Te Taiao' with guest speakers - Tukuroirangi Morgan (Chair of Te Arataura); Tawera Nikau; and Kowhai Olsen (of Te Ahiwaru, TAIAO Environmental Services Kaitiaki / Resource Management).
