SDG Summit

Co-hosted by the WWP, University of Waikato, Waikato Tainui and Te Pukenga, the Fourth SDG Summit in February (Home / | Aotearoa New Zealand SDG Summits) was focused on Implementing the SDGs in Aotearoa.

Held at the Gallagher Performing Arts centre, we hosted several hundred people from across Aotearoa and explored a wide range of sustainability and wellbeing related topics, with fantastic speakers and workshops. Field trips on the second day visited Whaingaroa | Raglan and the Ruakura Superhub and gave participants a first-hand look at how different aspects of wellbeing play our in our back yard. We also launched our 2023 WWP Progress Update- which told the story of our project since its inception and provided some key progress metrics for the Waikato (About Us | Waikato Wellbeing Project).

A huge thank you to everyone who helped to organise and convene the lead up seminars and the summit, the people of Whaingaroa and Tainui Group Holdings who welcomed our guest from across the motu.

Look out for an announcement soon about the next SDG summit, scheduled for 2025.
