In July we reported on the completion of the Hauraki Opportunity research programme, and the product of the final reports. Following on from this, on 3 September, we jointly hosted a webinar with Huber Social to share the report findings. You can see the presentation video here. Nearly 100 people registered for this event, and we had a great turnout on the day, with great interaction and questions from participants. A huge thank you to Michelle Macaskill, Pascarn Dickinson, Olivia Webster and Amy Van Garderen for facilitating a fantastic event.
Since then, we have been working alongside Huber Social, Te Tara o Te Whai and particularly Thames Coromandel District Council to ensure that the insights from this work are fully applied to make great decisions and empower local communities. We have had multiple requests from community organisations for the survey data, to help those organisations with their own planning and service design. If you would like to access the summary data, please contact Harvey (Harvey.brookes@waikatoregion.govt.nz).
The data continues to support the impressive work of health organisations in the Hauraki rohe including the Hauraki PHO, Pinnacle Health and Te Korowai Hauora o Hauraki, to name a few.
In November, Jess Black from Thames Coromandel District Council and Michelle Makaskill from Huber Social will be jointly presenting the results of the research programme to the 2025 Economic Development NZ Conference.
